Brenton Schnitzer, Levi Hillier, Alex Peck and Nick Miles win at Grays Harbor Raceway
6/28/2025
Elma, WA -
Four classes of racing would be on hand at Grays Harbor Raceway in what turned out to be a great sunday late June night. Brenton Schnitzer, Levi Hillier, and Alex Peck would all get their second wins on the season at the Raceway and rookie Nick Miles would become a first time winner at the Raceway.
In the IMCA Modifieds Jason Told would lead the first lap and Brenton Schnitzer would make an amazing 2 for 1 move to move into second and then on lap 2 would take the lead and be unchallenged the rest of the race and pick up his second win of the year. Zane Miner would start 10th and even with some front end damage dangling was able to work through the field and come home second but not enough time to get to the leader. Rounding out the podium would be Jake Sorenson, followed by Brian Izzi, and Jason Tole. Heat race wins would go to Craig Moore, Scott Miller, and Brenton Schnitzer. Brian Izzi and Jeff Hunt would be the Elma Lanes Hard Chargers (+10) and with back to back races with Tyson Blood having issues Brenton Schnitzer takes over the point lead by 2 points.
The third leg of the 360 Summer Challenge Series with a $6000 point fund was held at Grays Harbor Raceway. Levi Kuntz took off with the lead with a hard charging Levi Hillier from 6th to 3rd in 2 laps and then Hillier would plan his attack with the car working wherever he would put it and on lap 13 would take the lead and pick up the win. Kuntz would start to show smoke after getting passed and then on lap 19 his night would end with what looked to be engine issues. Destry Miller would take over second and with 2 laps to go would go spinning out of 4 bringing out another caution. Lane Taylor would finish second holding off Colton Heath on a late restart who would come home 3rd followd by TJ Hartman and Destry Miller. Heat race wins would go to Lane Taylor and Colton Heath, and quick time would go to Levi Hillier. Bill Rude would win the random draw and win the right rear hoosier tire.
Alex Peck took the lead from outside front row and lead a caution free 25 lap main event to pick up his second win on the season in 2 different cars (In_Laws Racing, and Pyles Motorsports). Doug Davenport was able to come home second over a charging Garrett Thomas who came home third followed by Tyler Luce in the In-Law Motorsports and Steven Massingale in 5th. The heat race win went to Garrett Thomas and quick time was Doug Davenport.
Mike Harritt Jr would lead lap 1, and a very fast Nick Miles would take the lead on lap 2 and stretch it out and win by 6.870 second over Landon Pruett, Mike Harriett Jr, Nik Sheats, and Cory Sweatman who had to start last because of class rules from winning last race. Heat race wins went to John Johnson, Mike Harriett Jr, Cory Sweatman, and Landon Pruett. The B feature would be won by Justin Harris.
Grays Harbor Raceway is back next Saturday July 5th with Q-Mart presents Mid-Season Champion, along with fan appreciation night and a Giant Fireworks show after the races.
