Street Stock Rules Proposal Update
At the owners meeting there were two proposed rule changes suggested. A ballot was sent out to all registered Street Stock owners for a vote, the following is a recap of the vote.
Proposal #1:
Amend the tire rule to allow G-60 tires and the grooving of the slicks or keep the 'slicks only' rule in place.
9 ..YES.. I want to use the grooved tires as proposed.
13 ..NO… I want the tire rule to be slicks only.
1 ..It doesn’t matter to me either way.
The tire rule will remain as it was in 2015 for the 2016 season.
Proposal #2:
To allow Dart heads or stay with OEM Chevrolet heads.
11..YES… I want to be able to use aftermarket Steel Dart heads.
6 ..NO… I don’t want to change the current head rule.
5 ..I would like to change but not this close to the season, let’s discuss this at the end of the season for a 2017 change.
1 .. It doesn’t matter to me either way.
The voting was tied at 11 for or against the change this year, based on the fact that 16 of the votes want to allow Dart heads within the next year we will allow Dart heads to be used in 2016. The complete dart head rule will be announced the week of March 7th. Don't buy Dart heads until the final rule has been released.
