The IMCA Modifieds were in action as a support class during the World of Outlaws Labor Day event at Grays Harbor Raceway. This was a non-points event featuring a strong field of Modifieds. Tyson Blood of Tumwater and Seabeck's Craig Moore set the front row of the 16 car, 25 lap feature event. Blood took the early lead going into turn one. Moore looked to the high side but couldn't make the pass. Brenton Schnitzer of Shelton moved into third, as Lane Zerbin of Campbell River, BC and Graham's Zane Miner battled for the fourth position. Schnitzer worked his way by Moore to get into the runner up spot. A four-car battle for second saw a great race between Schnitzer, Moore, Zerbin and Miner. Zerbin worked into third, getting by Moore, setting his sights on Schnitzer and Blood. A very wide racetrack made for multiple grooves on the 3/8 banked clay oval. Blood continued to pull away as lap traffic was encountered. Miner and Moore battled behind the top three. Blood continued a blistering pace, working his way through lap traffic. A caution free event saw Blood pick up the win over Zerbin, and Schnitzer. Heat race winners were Miner and Schnitzer.
