Summer Thunder Sprint Series Coming this Weekend!
The Summer Thunder Sprint Series will kick off its second season and first race of 2014 THIS SATURDAY at Grays Harbor Raceway!
After an early-season rain out at Skagit Speedway on May 3, drivers from Washington, Oregon and British Columbia are ready for battle as they take on the Grays Harbor oval.
Everett, Washington's Jayme Barnes heads into the weekend fresh off of his May 31 win at Skagit Speedway, looking to take the early season advantage in the Summer Thunder Series. It won't be easy for Barnes as drivers like Burlington's Kelsey Carpenter, the defending Skagit Speedway 360 sprint car champion, go into the weekend with high expectations as well.
Enumclaw, Washington's Henry VanDam also comes into the weekend with a head of steam as he picked up a win over the weekend at Cottage Grove Speedway's Marvin Smith Memorial on May 31. With thousands of laps logged at Grays Harbor Raceway, VanDam is a favorite heading into the weekend. Chasing VanDam are a slough of drivers including Cam Smith, TJ Hartman, Reece Goetz, Eric Fisher and more!
With the Street Stocks and Outlaw Tuners joining the Summer Thunder Series, this is an event you won't want to miss!
Spectator gates open at 5:30pm with racing scheduled to begin at 7:00pm.
