By Ben Deatherage
Elma, Washington- Grays Harbor Raceway regretfully announces the cancellation of the Saturday May 18th Cut Rate Auto Parts Iron Man 100 due to inclement weather. The grounds ended up being too saturated to conduct any action at the 3/8-mile clay oval venue.

The Cut Rate Auto Parts Iron Man 100 will be rescheduled for Saturday June 8th as will the Shipwreck Beads IMCA Modifieds for their increased purse courtesy of X-Factor Race Cars. Hornets will also be on the card for the June 8th event. The 360 Sprints will have a makeup race later this season that will be announced at a later date.

Grays Harbor Raceway will be on hand for two nights of racing next Saturday May 25th and Sunday the 26th for the Spring Challenge. It will be the season opener for the American Sprint Car Series-Northwest Region while the Shipwreck Beads IMCA Modifieds and Cut Rate Auto Parts Street Stocks will also be on hand as support classes for both days.

Ticket prices on both days will be $18.00 for Adults, $15.00 for Seniors (62+)/Juniors (13-18)/Military, $10.00 for Youths (6-12), and Children Under 5 are FREE. A Family Pass (2 Adults and up to 4 Youths) will be offered for $45.00 and Premium Seating is $25.00.

The Grays Harbor Raceway is known for its high speeds and side by side racing as well as its large track size. Hosting racing action from April to October regular classes include 360 Sprints, IMCA Modifieds, USAC Ford Focus Midgets, Street Stocks, Hornets, and for the first time the Northwest Extreme Winged Sprint Car Series.
