Elma, Washington- There has been some slight changes to the 2013 Grays Harbor Raceway racing calendar. There are only two changes and they both involve the 360 Sprints and the Northwest Wingless Tour at the 3/8-mile clay oval. On May 18th the Northwest Wingless Tour has been removed and replaced by 360 Sprints. While August 24th the 360 Sprints have been removed and replaced with the Northwest Wingless Tour.
The May 18th date will be billed as an “ASCS Tune Up” due to it being the last race before the American Sprint Car Series-Northwest Region weekend during the Spring Challenge. The Northwest Wingless Tour will still race on the 18th except they will head to the Sunset Speedway Park in Banks, Oregon.
The Grays Harbor Raceway is known for its high speeds and side by side racing as well as its large track size. Hosting racing action from April to October regular classes include 360 Sprints, IMCA Modifieds, USAC Ford Focus Midgets, Street Stocks, Hornets, and for the first time the Northwest Extreme Winged Sprint Car Series. Special events include visits by the World of Outlaw Sprint Car Series and American Sprint Car Series-Northwest Region.
