Jeffrey Hudson wins the 2025 Modified Clash
5/25/2025
Elma, WA -
Eston Whisler would take the lead from the green and pour it on and on lap 7 he started to see lap traffic and would make some mistakes and get out of the groove and get high in the corners off and on and Jeffrey Hudson would start gaining and then take the lead on lap 10 and start stretching out the lead until a caution on lap 15. On the restart there would be a big pileup in the middle to back of field right at the start finish line and slowing the race down once again. On the restart Nick Trenchard would jump into second, and Kevin Williamson would get to 3rd and Eston Whistler would fall back to 4th with Matthew Drager in 5th. Geoff Morris and Drager would have a great battle for 5th and Tyson Blood would join that battle as the top top 4 would stay consistent. Hudson would carve his way through lap traffic and hold off his contenders on a late restart to win the $2500 Modified Clash. Nick Trenchard would finish second, followed by Kevin Williamson, Eston Whistler, and Matthew Drager. The Elma Lanes hard charger would go to Brenton Schnitzer, and Jason Tole (+8). The heat race winners were Craig Moore, Devon Reed, Zane Miner, Matthew Drager, Tyson Blood, and Jake Walters.
In the IMCA Northern SportMods it was another win for Brayden Brookshire from Vancouver WA, followed by Payton Harding from Oakville.
Kyle Pope and Rob Glenney led the field to green in the 25 lap NW Dwarf Car main event. After a caution on the first try Kyle Pope jumps out to an early lead with Glenney right on the tail. Glenney would take the lead on lap 3 and Jeremy Martin would go to take the lead and the caution would come out on lap 5. On the restart action would get wild with the top 5 but Martin would retain the lead and another quick caution would keep the field close together. Martin would lead and Anthony Pope would try all sorts of lines to get around Martin and Brad Martin would be lurking in 3rd and Kyle Pope in fourth until a late caution with 4 to go. On the restart Anthony Pope would get a run on Jeremy Martin and Pope would take the lead as the they get the white flag and head into turn one and Martin goes down on the inside they go side by side and the top two make contact and spin and Kyle Pope takes the lead and the ckeckered flag for the win followed by Brad Martin and Rob Glenney, Kyle Frelich, and Josh Rogers..
