Mike Watson is the new full-time Flagman at Grays Harbor Raceway for 2025
Mike Watson has a long history of racing on the west coast. It all started with Mike on the safety crew for San Jose Speedway in the 90’s. In 2000, he moved over to Watsonville Speedway (now known as Ocean Speedway) as an official until 2004 when he took over flagman duties. In addition Mike also flagged Chowchilla Speedway for many years. In 2013 Mike moved to Oregon and began working at Sunset Speedway as an official. In 2015 he moved to the flag stand at Sunset Speedway same year he started with Salem Speedway in the winter where he also filled in as race director at times. In 2018 he moved over to River City Speedway as flagman till 2024 and also has been the promoter at Salem Speedway in the winter since 2021. He was asked to fill in for 3 races late last season at Grays Harbor Raceway and enjoyed it so much he is back for 2025 and excited to get the season started!!! Promoter Bert Johnson says Mike is another great addition to Grays Harbor Raceway's officials. We welcome Mike and his wife Lisa to our fantastic facility.
