The 25-car field saw Rochester's Kevin Valen lead the field to the green flag. Valen took the early lead with Elliott French of Hoquiam running second. Jeff Hunt of Olympia and Elma's Ryen Haney battled for third. Valen, French and Hunt put some slight distance on the rest of the field, but the caution flag flew on lap 2 for a multiple car incident in turn four. On the restart Valen led the field with Hunt moving into second. Shelton driver Scott Miller worked his way into third, but the caution flag flew for another multiple car incident in turn four. Valen, Hunt, French and the rest of the field took the green flag. Hunt saw tough company as French, Jason Tole of Hoquiam and Tyson Blood of Tumwater battled for second. Valen continued to lead as French worked his way back into second. Hunt once again saw Tole and Blood, looking for a podium spot. Blood worked his way into third looking to track down Valen and French. Lap 7 saw Blood look to the outside and take the lead in turn two. Miller worked his way into third, with Tole in fourth shuffling French into fifth. Blood put some distance on the rest of the field as he worked through lap traffic. Late in the feature saw Seabeck's Craig Moore work his way into the top three, looking to track down Miller and Blood. Lap 18 saw Moore battle with Miller for second. Both drivers raced side by side for a handful of laps. Moore looked to set his sights on Blood, who put some distance on the rest of the field. Blood picked up the win over Moore, Miller, Tole and Graham's Zane Miner rounded out the top five. Clyde White of Longview picked up the Elma Lane's Hard Charger going from 21st to 10th. Heat race winners were Olympia's Austin Rognlin, Moore and Blood.
Northwest Focus Midgets Series
Alex Peck of Federal Way and Elma's Garrett Thomas set the front row of the feature event. Thomas took the early lead from Peck, with Ashley Thompson of Arlington in third. Everett's Chris Foster moved into third as a three-car battle ensued between Thompson, Foster and Bow's Shane Smith, going from fifth to third with a pass in turn four. Thomas continued to lead Peck as Smith looked to track down both drivers for the lead. Lap 13 saw the red flag for Tukwila's Joe Shawley, getting upside down in turn two. Shawley was ok. On the restart Peck looked to the high side of Thomas, looking to take the lead, both drivers raced side by side down the backstretch, as Thomas maintained the top spot. Lap 17 saw Peck make another pass for the lead. Peck took the lead out of turn four. Thomas looked low to try and take the lead back but Peck ran too strong on the high side of the raceway. Peck picked up the win over Thomas, Thompson, Foster and Smith. Peck also picked up the heat race earlier on.
Super Stocks
Daryl Brumfield of Satsop and Gig Harbor's Jayson Wolcott led the field to the green flag in the 20-lap feature. Wolcott took the early lead as Aberdeen's Austin Kerrigan moved into second. Brumfield ran in the third spot with Tom Hecker of Spanaway in fourth. Wolcott and Kerrigan battled for the lead for multiple laps, racing side by side. Wolcott ran the high side, with Kerrigan on the bottom line of the 3/8 banked clay oval. Kerrigan took over the lead on lap 11. Wolcott looked to take the lead back, but couldn't make the pass. Wolcott pulled off a few laps later with mechanical issues, giving up second to Hecker. Kerrigan picked up the win over Hecker, Brumfield and Wolcott. Hecker picked up the heat race earlier in the evening.
360 Sprint Cars
Jeff Dunlap of Kent took the early lead into turn one, contact between Dunlap and Shelton's Jay Cole saw the caution flag fly. Cole hopped the right rear and spun in turn two. A complete restart saw Dunlap take the early lead. Cole ran in the second spot with Tahuya's Nate Geister in third. Dunlap set a blistering pace, running the high side, right rear slightly on the cushion. Cole stayed within striking distance, waiting for a mistake. Both Dunlap and Cole put distance on Geister around the raceway. Geister saw trouble midway through the feature, doing a complete 360 in turn four, continuing on. Cole looked to make a late race bid but it was Dunlap picking up his first ever win at Grays Harbor Raceway. Cole and Geister rounded out the rest of the field. Dunlap picked up the heat race win, with Cole picking up fast time.
