Elma, Washington- Grays Harbor Raceway is back in action this Saturday June 8th with a full card of action on the menu. Not only will it be the makeup date for the $650.00 to win Cut Rate Auto Parts 100 for the Street Stocks but also for the Shipwreck Beads IMCA Modifieds who will compete for that enhanced purse of $750.00 to win and $200.00 to start courtesy of X-Factor Race Cars. Also added to the list of classes in competition are the 360 Sprints and Hornets.
“This weekend we’ve got a great lineup of classes that will racing Saturday night,” commented Nikki Gamell, General Manager of Grays Harbor Raceway, “we can’t thank enough for what all Cut Rate Auto Parts have done for this facility as well as the Street Stock class and enhancing the purse for this special race. Also we would like to show our appreciation to Shipwreck Beads for their continued support of our IMCA Modifieds and X-Factor Race Cars for adding to their purse this Saturday.”
Fans and drivers alike are excited to see who will win the Cut Rate Auto Parts Iron Man 100 and were disappointed when the original date on May 18th was rained out. The race will be a one-hundred lap race for the Cut Rate Auto Parts Street Stock division with a fuel stop at the halfway point. There have been two different winners so far this year with defending champion Jason Tole capturing the last two and Jack Parshall winning the first race of the season back in April.
The Shipwreck Beads IMCA Modifieds will also be fun to watch especially with $750.00 on the line to win courtesy of the folks at X-Factor Race Cars. Two-time and defending track champion Joe German has the most wins this year, with two, while drivers visiting the winner’s circle just once this year have been Scott Miller and Craig Moore.
In the 360 Sprint ranks there have been three different winners in three events. J.J. Hickle, Reece Goetz, and Evan Margeson have all managed victories in the division. The same can be said for the Hornets as in their first three races have seen Jeff Daniel, Chad Norton, and Brian Norton all earn wins. Will we see our first repeat winner in either of those two divisions this Saturday? We shall see.
Saturday night’s admission is Adults $13.00, Senior (62+)/Juniors (13-18)/Military $10.00, Youths (6-12) $5.00, Youths (5 and Under) FREE, Family Pass (Two Adults and Up To Four Youths) $30.00, and Premium Seating $20.00. Pit gates open at 2:30, front gates, 4:30, and racing starting at 6:30.
