Elma, Washington- With the season opener just days away fans and drivers are getting more and more anxious for racing to return to Grays Harbor Raceway. Jared Peterson started his winning trend in the first race of 2012 in the USAC Ford Focus Midgets and by season’s end would win the championship as well as a total of five feature victories after a dominating campaign.
Brian Harding would capture an emotional first career victory in the Cut Rate Auto Parts Street Stocks and would go on to win five more times in the class. The Hornet classification for their first race last April saw eventual champion Chad Norton visit victory lane after leader Shane Kerrigan experienced some troubles.
