Budweiser To Sponsor GHR ASCS Nationals Weekend

Elma, Washington- Grays Harbor Raceway will have Budweiser as the official adult beverage sponsor courtesy of Olympic Eagle Distributing based out of Hoquiam. In addition to providing their world famous drinks they will be the weekend sponsor for July 12th and 13th.

That weekend will mark the return of the popular American Sprint Car Series-National Tour for the only stop for the series in the state of Washington. Also on hand will be the competitive Northwest Extreme Late Model Series which will make a total of four visits to GHR in 2013.

“We’re very pleased to back this year we had a lot of fun last year and we’re looking forward to another great year,” commented Dana Larson, General Manager of Olympic Eagle Distributing, “this track is a great thing for the community and we’re proud to be a part of this event. We hope everyone can come out to enjoy some great racing this season at Grays Harbor Raceway.”

Last year’s edition had weather interrupt the first night of action and forced the second day to run two main events in the same night. Shane Stewart and Wayne Johnson were the feature winners in ASCS-National Tour action while Greg Walters and Jason Wines picked up the checkers for the Northwest Extreme Late Model Series.

“We are ecstatic to have Budweiser on board this year and are really excited for them to once again sponsor the ASCS-National weekend,” commented Nikki Gamell, General Manager of Grays Harbor Raceway, “Not only did the group at Olympic Eagle help make the weekend memorable for everyone, but they went above and beyond with their customer service to assist with the employees, drivers and fans. We are very thankful to have them as a part of the Grays Harbor Team"

The Anheuser-Busch Company dates back to nineteenth century when Adolphus Busch and his father-in law Eberhard Anheuser decided to form a partnership in brewing from their location in St. Louis, Missouri. Since then their most famous brew Budweiser has gained worldwide fame and they continue their involvement in sponsorship programs throughout the world.

The Grays Harbor Raceway is known for its high speeds and side by side racing as well as its large track size. Hosting racing action from April to October regular classes include 360 Sprints, IMCA Modifieds, USAC Ford Focus Midgets, Street Stocks, Hornets, and for the first time the Northwest Extreme Winged Sprint Car Series. Special events include visits by the World of Outlaw Sprint Car Series and American Sprint Car Series-Northwest Region.
