4 – OWNER CHAMPIONSHIPS: 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 (JJR/Stenhouse Jr. Racing) 2008

Jason Johnson was born and raised in Eunice, Louisiana, a city located in Acadia and St. Landry parishes in the heart of Cajun country. At an early age Jason had an interest in cars, especially race cars that went fast. Since then, the full-time racer, also popularly referred to in the racing world as the Ragin’ Cajun and the Cajun Sensation, has established himself as one of the most competitive and successful race car drivers in the world of sprint car racing. He started piloting open cockpit cars in 1993. Since he began racing he has registered 238 career victories. Jason has captured victories in stock cars, mini sprints, outlaw winged modifieds, 360 sprint cars, and 410 sprint cars. This experience and success has positioned him as a leading contender when he arrives in the pit area of every track across the United States and Australia. In 1998, Jason began traveling and competing nationally while garnering victories and podium finishes along the way in a variety of series to include the World of Outlaws (WoO), All Star Circuit of Champions (ASCoC), American Sprint Car Series (ASCS), World Series of Sprintcars (WSS), Pennsylvania Posse (PA Posse), and the National Championship Racing Association (NCRA).

In addition to his success on the track as a driver, Jason and his wife Bobbi accomplished another career milestone in 2010 when they became team owners as they established Jason Johnson Racing (JJR). In their inaugural season as driver/owners, they enjoyed success quickly as they won both the driver’s and owner’s point titles in the competitive Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour Championship series. Not content, they followed that up with three more consecutive owner’s titles in 2011, 2012, and 2013, as well as two more driver’s titles in 2012 and 2013.

What made the last two championships even more special was in 2012 JJR formed an alliance and partnership with Ricky Stenhouse Jr., the two-time NASCAR Nationwide Series Champion and current driver of the Roush Fenway entry in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. The two racers and champions came together as business partners to field a competitive sprint car racing team that races all across the country throughout the year.

In 2013, Jason and the team not only enjoyed championship success on the track, but had one of life’s special moments off the track too. In May, they welcomed a new member to their family and team as Jaxx Hosea Johnson was born. Since then the bond between racing and their family has never been stronger. The focus and value the driver and team put on family is very evident at home, around the track and in victory lane.

Everyone at JJR and Stenhouse Jr. Racing is focused on continuing their success. Jason and the team, along with the valued sponsorship partners, are looking to continually build on their winning ways after back-to-back championship winning seasons and four consecutive owner’s championships. Jason explains, “At JJR and Stenhouse Jr. Racing, we strive to represent each sponsorship partner and their brand with the utmost professionalism, while delivering successful results on and off the track.” The native from Louisiana continues, “We greatly appreciate all the support from our fans across the country and the meaningful friendships we have built with our sponsorship partners in our successful and family-focused operation.”
